Rachael Welch is a third-generation employee of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) based in the Chattanooga Area. Throughout her 23 years at TVA, Welch has served in a number of various leadership roles focused on operational and organizational performance. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Siskin Children's Insitute and is the past Board Chair of Girls Inc. of Chattanooga.

Welch is married to her high-school sweetheart of 25 years, Chris, and has three children. Eli is a mechanical engineering major at UTC (Graduating Spring 2025), wife Storm's major is General Biology (Graduating Spring 2025, PA school post-grad), and twins Zeke and Emmie graduate from high school Spring 2025.

In her spare time, Welch and her family enjoy life on their 100-acre farm in Decatur, TN.
