Dr. Tamala Norris, DHA, BSN, RN, CPHQ, HACP, LSSGBC
Dr. Norris currently serves as the Senor Vice President and Enterprise Chief Clinical Officer for Surgery Partners where she leads nursing operations, clinical practice, quality, regulatory and safety for the organization. As a clinician, she worked as a frontline nurse delivering babies before moving to the emergency department and also working as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. After leaving the bedside she served as a hospital then system leader of Quality, Patient Safety, Patient Advocacy, Nursing and Regulatory Operations, and Risk Management. 

Tamala serves as a board member and finance chair for the Ambulatory Surgery Center Quality Collaborative, member of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association political action committee, as an editorial board member for the International Journal of Nursing Sciences and Clinical Practices, and member of the ASCA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee where she helps drive DEI education for ambulatory healthcare environments,Tamala holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University and a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration from Walden University where she published her research on workplace violence
