Manager, Strategy and Performance

Oak Ridge National Laboratory

Dr. Cassandra McGee Stuart is Manager of Strategy and Performance at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). She leads the Strategy and Performance team, which includes the Small Business Programs Office, the catalogs purchase program, integrated contractor purchases, as well as the Laboratory’s subcontracts with UTK. She often leads strategic initiatives for the Contracts division and Business Services directorate at ORNL. Stuart has received the DOE Small Business Program Manager of the Year Award and led the laboratory’s efforts in winning several other small business awards.

Stuart formerly worked in broadcast news as an anchor, reporter, and network producer. She has also held positions in public and government relations, as well as leadership roles in business development, and owned a small consulting business. Stuart is a graduate of Leadership Knoxville and serves on local boards of directors. She holds a Doctorate in business administration from Lincoln Memorial University, a Master’s in management from Colorado State University, and a B.S. in communications from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
