Chief Executive OfficerNashville CARESAmna Osman, CEO of Nashville CARES, has 26 years of experience as a public health innovator and executive leader. Her diverse career spans nonprofits, government, international organizations, consulting, and academia. Throughout her career, Amna has remained committed to advocating for vulnerable populations, believing that authentic, meaningful relationships are key to successful organizations.
Amna has held notable positions, including CEO and President of two nonprofit organizations focused on HIV/AIDS and domestic and sexual violence. She served as the Director of the Division of Health, Wellness, and Disease Control for the Michigan Department of Community Health, overseeing HIV/AIDS, STD, Health Disparities Reduction, and Minority Health. As a Senior International Consultant with the United Nations, she promoted sustainable industrial development to eradicate poverty in developing countries. Amna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from USIU, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University. She has also completed the Michigan State University Advanced Leadership Program and holds a Leading Change diploma from Macomb’s Executive School of Business in Texas. |
